Sherrie is the company’s Chief People Officer and brings more than 18 years of global experience in talent and leadership development, organizational effectiveness, cultural transformation, and performance management. She brings to RGA significant people leader coaching and is an integral member of the executive leadership team. She designs and implements recruiting and retention strategy, learning and professional development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, rewards and recognition, and employee engagement.
Prior to RGA, Sherrie was the Americas Vice President of Human Resources at HTC and a Director of Human Resources at the fast-growing architecture and design firm, NBBJ. She has also held several senior human resource positions at Shin Nippon Biotechnology Laboratory, Zodiac Aerospace, and Xcyte Therapies T-Cell Biotechnology.
Sherrie believes what makes an organization unique is the collective talents, 'quirks' and expertise of the individuals coupled with the vision to do something truly great. When people feel a sense of acceptance and belonging at work, they are free to bring their whole selves to the table, collaborate, learn and contribute at a different level. Her goal is to foster a workplace where people are free to be who they are, are encouraged to take risks, develop and grow while delivering excellence.
Sherrie has a BA from the University of Washington and Master of Arts, Organizational Development from Antioch University Seattle. Additionally, she is a Senior Professional In Human Resources (SPHR) and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR).
For Fun
She enjoys spending time with family and friends in the PNW, hiking, running, and wine tasting! She is looking forward to wine tasting her way through Europe over the next few years.
